Budva Riviera Beaches, Montenegro Coastal Resorts


Budva riviera is one of the most popular among holidaymakers in Montenegro coastal region. The part from Jaz to Buljarice is the realm of the most visited, largest and most beautiful Montenegrin beaches, which alternate in waves with the high limestone cliffs. Here are the towns Budva and Petrovac, and between them the hotel town Sveti Stefan, the jewel of the whole coast.

Budva city Beach
Budva city Beach is between the Old town and the Avala hotel, and the other one between the Old town and Budva port. They are pebbly and immediately next to the ramparts of the old Town.

Jaz Beach
Jaz Beach is situated in the Mrcevo field as its background with the seasonal Drenovstica river running through it. It is from both sides protected by the hills of Grbalj and Straza. The beach is 2.5km away from Budva on the way to Tivat.

Mogren I and II Beaches
These two beaches stretch from cape called Mogren to the Avala Hotel. Their natural conditions make them the most attractive beaches, with a sand of medium particle size, both on the beach itself and in water. The beach is well exposed to sun and southerly wind.

Milocer Beach
Milocer Beach is situated beneath the former summer resort of the royal Karadorevic family. It was built in 1934 and it is separated from the highway with a wall with two gates, one leading to Przno, and the other one to St. Stefan. The beach is 380m long.

Queen´s Beach
Queen´s Beach is situated immediately next to Milocer beach and fits in this environment because of its attractiveness. The beach is 200 m long

Becici Beach
It is considered to be one of the most beautiful and largest beaches on the south part of the Adriatic Sea. It is sandy, 1950m long and goes from Zavale to Djevistenja. In 1935 it won the “Grand Prix” in Paris as the most beautiful beach in Europe.

Buljarica Beach

Buljarica field and the slopes of Dubovica hill are very convenient for the development of tourism. Buljarica cove stretches from “Resovo brdo” cove to Dubovica, and is a largest beach of Budva Riviera. It is 1 km away from Petrovac towards Bar, and is 2250 m long, pebbly. There are a few auto camp sites.

Drobni Beach
The terrain towards the south, towards Petrovac, is such that it caused the formation a few small beaches. They are accessible only from the sea. The Drobni beach is distinctive for its beauty. It is situated in a hidden valley and it is 250m long. As its sand is yellow-white is reminiscent of tropical beaches, and as the background is overgrown with olives it is called “wild”. There is a spring of drinking water and a few restaurants on the beach. Drobni beach is a favorite vacation area of many people.

Kamenovo Beach
Kamenovo beach is the first one in the succession of about 16 smaller beaches of Budva Riviera. It is situated between Becici and Przno. The beach and the sea bottom are sandy. This makes the crystal clean water look turquoise at the one moment and azure in the next moment. It is oriented towards the south-east with a high number of sunny hours. Kamenovo beach is easily accessed because of the vicinity of the high way. It is 730m long.

Lucice Beach
This is a wonderful bathing locality which is still almost unspoiled despite the great number of visitors. The beach is 500m away from Petrovac. It has the shape of a small bay. It is 220 m long, it is sandy as is the sea bottom. The sea is very shallow and there are cypresses and pines in the background. There are also two restaurants.

Perazica Do Beach

Perazica Do Beach is in immediate vicinity of Rezevici monastery, below the highway. This small sandy beach is hidden in a deep valley. There is small marina for landing boats

St. Nikola Island Beach
The St. Nikola’s isle is the most popular picnic site in Budva. The shores of the isle go steeply into the sea. There are many hidden inlets which are a challenge for adventurers and romantic souls. There are three sandy beaches, the total length of which is 840m. The isle is overgrown with various Mediterranean vegetation which makes the beaches and inlets attractively “wild”. During the season you can get there by boats which go there daily from Budva beaches.

Petrovac Beach
This beach with reddish sand is about 600m long and has one with the biggest number of visitors in Budva Riviera. It has a special charm because there are two beautiful isles Katic and St. Sunday, which are true interesting for the lovers of sea depths. Petrovac beach is a protected natural reservation. Its bathing part is rimmed with a promenade, cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops. The Hotels ½Palas½and ½4th of July½ are in its background.

Przno Beach
Przno beach is located in front of the vivid, typical sea shore settlement, which gives the beach a special charm. It stretches for 350 m between Przno and Milocer Cape. Przno is a combination of a partly rocky beach. There are groves olive of exceptional value, which is why the entire area is enlisted as a protected nature reserve. In the vicinty are hotel “Maestral” and a few taverns and cafes.

Slovenska Beach
Slovenska Beach spreads out from the city port to the Park hotel. The total length is about 1600m. It was declared a bathing beach in 1920, and some Czechs who spent their vaction in Budva in 1935 called it Slovenian beach and it is still called so. The beach is pebbly, as well as the sea bottom. In its background there is the same named hotel with apartments, annexes, resturants, cafes, well managed parks with different kinds of Mediterranean vegetation.

Sveti Stefan Beach
At this, for many people the most attractive spot of all the Adriatic coast, we come across a very rare natural phenomenon the “tombola”. It is a sandy isthmus that connects the coast with the crag, on which St. Stefan, the exclusive town-hotel is built. The most popular people have gladly come here to spend their vacations.
